Marketing 101 for Phone Sex Operators

If you plan on making a living as a “Phone Sex Operator” you need:

Branding – your persona is your brand.  There are many platforms like niteflirt, for you to use to make $ with your phonesex services. At any time, any one or all of these platforms can go away, change their policy, change their pricing and payment model, restrict what you can talk about or simply delete your account or ban it for whatever reason. And you have NO Recourse!

No matter how big you are or how wanted your services and content are they can decide to take it all away from you. Many of the phone sex platforms like niteflirt have gone out of business. Those platforms not out of business, have restricted the type of topics you can talk about on their platform.  So, who is deciding what these restrictions are?  It’s the payment processors (Visa and Mastercard) on the front and the back end is the organizations like NCOSE formally Morality in Media. Spicy content creators have been hit hard these last few years when sites like onlyfans and the clip sites started requiring proof of identity and restricting the content they were allow to post.    Phonesex operators have equally been affected by all this anti sex worker sentiment.   There is a push to requiring phonesex operators to  register their real identity and provide legal documents such as a driver’s license, passports, etc.  Without protecting such information. Who wants to have a stalker finding out who you are and where you live or the NCOSE type organizations targeting you.

So how do you secure your place in the business of a PhoneSex Operator?

If you have not already registered a domain name you need to put that at the top of your list.  It cost less than $20 per year.  Once you have your domain name you should have a website to go with it. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy but as a minimum, it should talk about who you are and the type of phone sex sessions you provide.

Then on all those platforms you have your services posted, you should include your website address. Then if any of those platforms ban you or go out of business you are still able to continue making money. More on how to do this in another article.  Many sites won’t allow you to list your website address in the text but there are ways to get around this such as the use of QR codes.  More on this in another article.

How to pick a domain name.   If you are already on platforms you already have a name. And if you are on several platforms then hopefully you have the same name or something similar. If you are on Twitter you already have a @name and hopefully, it is the same or similar to the name you are using on the platforms you are on.

This is important in the branding of your persona.   The search engines like google link all this stuff together so the more you help with that the better rankings you will receive.

So, if you do already have a common persona out there then figuring out what your domain name is is easy.  It’s the same name/word you use on the platforms with the .com at the end.  Yes, go with the .com. If it is already taken then you need to visit that site and make sure someone else isn’t pirating your content.

If there is already a site out there using the domain name you want then it is best to go with another name and not use that same name with some other TLD such as .net or .info (There are hundreds of TLD options).  Why you don’t want to just use another TLD is because that domain name may be trademarked and as such, they could come after you and sue you and take away your site after you have done all the hard work.  A quick word about trademarks – if you registered your domain name then that name can not be trademarked by anyone other than you. This includes copyrights.  They all belong to the owner of the domain name.

Ok so let’s say you don’t have much out there yet, so you have a blank slate.  Before you register a domain name you need to find out if anyone is already using it on any of the platforms you might want to use.  This includes a Twitter name @name.  One of the first things you should do is simply type in the domain name you want to see if it is being used. Check all the platforms you might want to use such as Onlyfans or the clip sites and see if anyone is currently using that name or something similar.

Once you come up with a clean domain name, you need to register it. There are many places you can register the domain name.  Godaddy.com is probably the biggest and least expensive.  They are also “adult content” friendly.  But before you jump off and register your domain name anywhere let’s first talk about your privacy.   When you register a domain name you will need to provide them with your real name, your real address, and your payment card information.  Godaddy.com offers what they call “Privacy” (additional cost) where they state that your information will be hidden and not accessible to anyone.  But just how private is their privacy?  Well, it turns out not to be all that private. Over the years there have been issues with Godaddy.com giving out the registration information for one reason or another.  No matter what they should only be giving out this information under a court order.  This goes for any registrar you might use.

One sure way to protect your privacy 100% when registering your domain name is by letting me register it on your behalf.  This way my information is the only information they have and if they are compelled to give it out (court order or not) then they give out my information.  If for some reason, I get a court order to provide information on the domain name I will alert you first and we can then decide on what information I will provide.

Because your domain name is registered by me the ownership still belongs to you. If you ever decide to move it, sell it, or whatever, you are free to do so.   My cost to you will be less expensive than a direct purchase by you.  Different TLDs are priced differently so you will need to check with me on the price. Typically a .com name is $15 per year.  30 days before the domain name renewal date I’ll email you to verify that you still want the domain name renewed. If you are interested in me registering your domain name reach out to me at worldofphonesex@gmail.com.  WordPress website with payment processing for $5 per month.

To sum up Marketing 101 for phone sex operators is this, Stop thinking of yourself as a phone sex operator and think of yourself as a BRAND and all those platforms you are using are your sales channels. Remember sales channels will come and go but your brand stands at the center of your phonesex services business.  Get your domain name and website for your brand established and let your supporters know where to find your content.

Know this – your website is your control, and all those sale channel platforms can’t ban your website!

This other nice thing about doing phone sex from your own site is that there are no bans or restrictions on what you can talk about.  More about this in another post.
